Introducing Prologic Skin Care to The Bright Side

The Bright Side Holistic Skin Clinic is incredibly proud and excited to partner with the Prologic Skin Care range. We can’t wait to get started in supporting healthy and glowing skin with this corneotherapy-approved skincare range.

Prologic was first founded in 2011 and created and formulated by New Zealand’s Top Beauty Therapist, Rachel Robertson. Rachel found that most ranges that were corneotherapeutic were formulated in the northern hemisphere and may not be as suitable for the skin of the southern hemisphere, which experiences some unique challenges such as high UV exposure, essential fatty acid deficiency and inflammation risk. Her aim to see better results for skins within the southern hemisphere.

Prologic is focused on clean, modern formulations. Technology and ingredients change over time, and the Prologic team are committed to tweaking and perfecting formulations as new ingredients become available. They are dedicated to reducing unnecessary ingredients in skin care and reaching therapeutic levels of ingredients - the result being a highly active and effective product that is full of everything the skin needs and nothing else. Prologic is proudly and completely a corneotherapeutic skincare range (corneotherapy is the constant focus on the preservation of our skin barrier, working with products that do not contain anything that can compromise the skin’s barrier, which in turn may impact the long-term health of the skin).

All Prologic products are produced in controlled goods manufacturing practice labs across New Zealand, which have strict requirements of cleanliness, reliability of producing and associated documentation. Their labs are sterile and exceptionally clean and safe environments, which allows Prologic Skincare to be manufactured without paragons and preservatives or other non-skin friendly ingredients.

Proloigic is committed to sustainability practices. Every aspect of the Prologic brand has been carefully thought out to have the lowest carbon footprint with little to no effect on the environment. The sustainability commitment has constant updates to packaging, shipping materials and practices as better options become available. They use innovative sugar cane “plastic” packaging for products, which is one-of-a-kind to reduce landfill impact and be biodegradable. Products are only contained in glass, aluminium, recyclable plastic, compostable plastic bags and biosugar plastic. Wood pulp is used to make all boxes, and the label is Forest Stewardship Council Accredited, meaning that harvesting is always fair trade and sustainable. The inks used on boxes and labels are plant-based, and the ingredients used in Prologic products are sustainable, environmentally friendly and ethically sourced. This also includes considered efforts to prevent water pollution after you use your products, and they wash down the drain, meaning there is no harm to the waterways and ecosystem from your products.

Prologic is not tested on animals, cruelty free and vegan friendly. No individual ingredients in Prologic products have ever been tested on animals. Unfortunately, many products do not follow this same diligence, as when a product claims “not-tested on animals”, this may only relate to the product itself and not all the ingredients sourced to create a product

Prologic is a professional-only skincare range that can only be purchased through qualified skin therapists; this ensures that the potency of the products is appropriately prescribed to the skin and achieves the best results possible.

Controlled goods manufacturing practice labs are green bio labs, meaning that every step of an ingredient’s lifecycle is documented, tracing the location of where an ingredient is sourced and how it was harvested and extracted. This is an incredibly important process to address and prevent modern-day slavery, no testing on animals or practices of cruelty to animals, sustainable harvesting practices to prevent the extinction of plant-related products and ethical sourcing.

To discuss whether the Prologic skincare range is appropriate for your skin, book a Corneotherapy Consultation with Krystyna.
